Game 37: McCann, Braves hand Cueto first loss

The Braves retook first place in the NL East with tonight’s win behind the strength of a Brian McCann home run and Tim Hudson’s strong performance (7 IP, 2 R, 9H). Johnny Cueto suffered his first loss of the season for the Reds. He came into the game as the league leader in ERA at 1.12 but gave up six runs (five earned) in just four innings to balloon that number to 1.89. The new MLB ERA leader is Brandon Beachy at 1.60. The Reds come back into town May 21 for a four game series. In the meanwhile, the Marlins visit Turner field for a two game series and the Braves travel to Tampa to take on the Rays.
